Spiel Portugal recently announced the winner of its Jogo do Ano award for 2023.  The prize goes to Carnegie, designed by Xavier Georges and published by Quined Games.  This is the fourth significant Game of the Year award for Carnegie.  Earlier, it won the IGA for Best Multiplayer, the Golden Geek for Best Heavy Game, and the American Tabletop Award for Best Complex Game.

This is Georges’ second JdA award; he won 13 years earlier for Troyes.  The other nominated games this year were Federation, Lacrimosa, Tiletum, and Weather Machine.

Congratulations to Xavier Georges and Quined for this latest honor!
